Art therapy is a form of therapy that encourages self-expression through using art as a safe container to hold past or present experiences. It helps individuals explore and understand their emotions, improve self-esteem, externalize emotions, and manage stress.

Psychotherapy involves conversations between the therapist and the client to help address emotional, personal, or social,  difficulties and mental health challenges. It aims to improve an individual's well-being and mental health.
